In the spring of 2026, our school program Företagskällan collaborated with Viktor Rydbergs Gymnasium at Odenplan. Students in first grade independently planned and conducted historical trade walks, where companies that they had researched were presented in an urban environment.
The idea came from Johanna Augustinson, teacher of business economics, and Mats Ingemarsson, teacher of history and Swedish. The teachers collaborated with the our school program manager Charlotta Skorup, and built on the archives we manage at the Centre for Business History and on our school site Företagskällan.
As part of the work, the classes initially participated in a lecture and then made a visit to the archive. In their research on the companies, the students used primary sources and material from Företagskällan as educational resources. In total, nine companies were examined and presented in groups through role-playing and guided tours in an urban environment.
