Lyckoslanten is Sweden's largest children's magazine about personal finance. Since 1926, the Swedish savings banks have distributed it free of charge to Swedish middle school students. Nowadays, it is published jointly by Swedbank and the savings banks - and this year it celebrates 100 years. As part of the celebration, we at the Centre for Business History, together with Swedbank's in-house film team, made a short film that tells the history of Lyckoslanten.
Swedbank's historical archive is deposited with us at the Centre for Business History. It contains, among other things, all issues of Lyckoslanten since its inception in 1926 - and a lot of exciting material concerning both the magazine and the organization's other extensive social commitments.
In addition to the film, the anniversary is being celebrated with a historical Lyckoslanten exhibition at the Tumba Mill Museum (part of the Economic Museum). More about the anniversary can be found here.
