The Centre for Business History will also assist Svenskt Tenn with advice on archiving and managing the collections. At Svenskt Tenn, the collaboration will primarily be handled by the company's two newly hired archivists, who are building on the work of previous colleagues.
– We are very pleased with the trust placed in us to manage this physical design heritage. The fact that the company continues to invest in its own archivists is rare in today's business world and guarantees a successful collaboration, says Anders Sjöman, CEO of the Centre for Business History.
Like all customers with archive deposits at the Centre for Business History, Svenskt Tenn will also become a member of the company's owner, the non-profit Association Centre for Business History.
– Svenskt Tenn's historical objects and unique history are the foundation of the company. We chose the Centre for Business History for their expertise and customized facilities required to preserve the heritage in the best possible way. It feels reassuring to know that the collection is in safe hands, yet still alive and accessible to the organization as the company continues to develop further, says Thommy Bindefeld, Senior Advisor at Svenskt Tenn.
