Axfood is celebrating 20 years in 2020. We at the Centre for Business History have, on behalf of Axfood, created an anniversary magazine that tells the story of the grocery company.

On May 11, 2000, the grocery corporation Axfood was formed. However, the company's roots go much further back. Through mergers and acquisitions, a number of store brands and concepts have both been created, disappeared, and incorporated under others. Over the past 20 years, the Axfood family has also expanded with several companies in entirely new areas.
To celebrate 20 years of change and collaboration, we at the Centre for Business History have created a magazine that tells the company's long history. The magazine includes history about Axfood and the included brands Hemköp, Willys, Dagab, Axfood Närlivs, and Axfood Snabbgross, interviews with former CEOs, sustainability efforts, a quiz where you can test your knowledge about Axfood, and much more. The anniversary magazine is distributed to all approximately 17,000 people within the Axfood family.
