In 2024, the Centre for Business History turns 50, which we celebrate by highlighting the rich history found in the archives we manage. Among other things, with four anniversary seminars - which you can watch here!
Anniversary Seminar 1: "The Archives of Publishing Houses, Our Cultural Heritage" (Feb 21, 2024)

Anniversary Seminar 2: "How Do We Know What We Know? Archives as the Source of Most Things." (April 24, 2024)
Participants: Ingrid Carlberg, author and member of the Academy; Karin Åström Iko, National Archivist; Martin Kragh, Deputy Head of the Centre for Eastern European Studies; Anders Johnson, author; Orsi Husz, professor and historian. Benito Peix Geldart, researcher at the Centre for Business History, presented the research conducted in our members' archives over 50 years. Anders Sjöman, Centre for Business History, launched a new web-based search service for the same archives. Moderator: Tobias Svanelid.
Anniversary Seminar 3: "Economic Freedom - Self-Evident or Challenged?" (June 18, 2024, Stockholm School of Economics)

Anniversary Seminar 4: "Stockholm's Development Over 50 Years" (Sep 25, 2024, Stockholm City Museum)
Participants included Håkan Forsell, professor of Stockholm history; Kerstin Brunnberg, chairwoman Nyréns architects; Karolina Keyzer, former City Architect, now OKK Architects; Martin Rörby, architectural historian; Anders Houltz, research director Centre for Business History; Anders Johnson, author; Andreas Hatzigeorgiou, CEO PE Teknik & Arkitektur, former CEO Stockholm Chamber of Commerce; Örjan Lönngren, Stockholm City Environmental Department; and Dan Svensson, ELU Consultant, Maritime Engineering. Artist Wille Crafoord concluded with a musical reflection on Stockholm 1974-2024. Moderator was Mats Hayen, research leader at Stockholm City Archives, and opened by Alexander Husebye, CEO Centre for Business History.
