BioArctic receives SvD Business Achievement Award 2026

BioArctic receives the SvD Business Achievement Award 2026. The founders Gunilla Osswald and Pär Gellerfors accepted the award yesterday in connection with the Swedish Championship in Young Entrepreneurship.

Since 2014, Svenska Dagbladet has been awarding the Business Achievement of the Year - which this year went to BioArctic.The publicly listed pharmaceutical company has grown from a small academic research company to one of the world's leading in neurodegenerative diseases. The company's drug Leqembi is the first widely approved disease-modifying treatment for Alzheimer's. The award was presented by Prince Daniel at the Swedish Championships in Ung Företagsamhet yesterday, May 26.

Our former CEO Alexander Husebye was one of the driving forces when the award was established in 2014 and we have been on the jury since then, now with CEO Anders Sjöman.

Anders Sjöman has written teaching cases for Harvard Business School, developed online language schools for EF Education, and worked as a communications consultant at Springtime. In 2015, he joined the Centre for Business History as Head of Communication and Client Projects. Since May 2025, he is the company's CEO. Anders Sjöman is CEO at Centre for Business History in Stockholm.
