- History is nothing new to us at ICA. We work with it every day, said Eva Burén and Björn Olsson at ICA at this year's History Marketing Summit. They talked about the daily work required to keep the idea behind ICA alive among both retailers and customers. Watch their entire presentation here.
In 1917, Hakon Swenson had the idea of "independent retailers in cooperation." Eva Burén, Head of Information at the ICA Retailers' Association, and Björn Olsson, Communications Director at ICA Gruppen, talked about how it is a daily effort to keep that idea alive, whether it is an anniversary year (which it happened to be this year as ICA turned 100) or not.

At the end of the anniversary year, Eva, Björn, and the entire ICA100 team summarized how they planned and carried out this “anniversary with meaning.” Everything was summarized in a special magazine, which is available as a PDF as well as a separate section on www.ica-historien.se.
