Anders Lindström can look back on a long and versatile career, from his childhood years in Norrbotten, via his studies in Uppsala, to increasingly significant business projects. During several decades, he was known as the "corporate doctor" after revitalizing companies such as the engineering firm Bahco, the wholesale giant Saba, and the car company Upplands Motor.
Today, he has retired from the business world and in the book Människorna, företagen, livet – mina första 85 år (loosly transalted as People, Companies, Life – My First 85 Years), he talks with Anders Houltz, research director at the Centre for Business History, about his years in the corporate world but also about family, friends, culture, and leisure time. We meet both well-known and unknown people, everyday and historical events in a Sweden that was on its way to becoming modern.
