In August 1926, Bilägarnas Inköpscentral förening (IC) was founded to, among other things, break the dominance of oil cartels and negotiate better fuel prices. IC grew into today's OK ekonomisk förening, a nationwide cooperative with 975,000 members. OK is full- or part owner in mobility and energy businesses - and owns, of course, half of OKQ8 with 773 fuel stations around Sweden.
OK has its historical archive placed with us at the Centre for Business History since many years. In preparation for their centennial, we were asked to plan, structure, and develop content for a jubilee publication. The result is now here: "OK - In the minds of the Swedish people since 1926", a 36-page magazine that tells about the events, decisions, and innovations that have shaped today's OK.
Previously, we have also created OK's historical website - also based on OK's rich historical archive.
