Olof Söderberg (1872–1931) developed his father's company Söderberg & Haak, became manager of Stora Kopparbergs and Fagersta ironworks, was active in the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, and co-founder of the Stockholm School of Economics.
About this business leader, industrialist, and community builder, Benito Peix Geldart, a PhD historian and researcher at the Centre for Business History's research secretariat, has written a new biography, "Olof Söderberg – business leader, industrialist, community builder".
He continues here the story of the Söderberg family after his earlier book about the father and the steel pioneer Pelle Söderberg. The books about the Söderberg family are the result of a multi-year research project at the Centre for Business History to document and analyze two key figures in trade and industry during an important phase of Sweden's modernization. An interview with the book's editor Johan Rosell.
