Doing Business in Russia: Sources to Swedish Business History in Russia 1850–1920, provides an overview of Russian literature and Russian archival sources valuable for studying this little-known Swedish business history.
In the anthology, Dr. Martin Kragh, Stockholm, provides an overview of trade relations between Russia and Sweden during historical times. Associate Professor Marina Chichuga, Moscow, contributes with a review of Russian scientific literature in the field, a review supplemented with an extensive bibliography. Archivist Vadim Azbel, Stockholm, then presents selected archival material in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
The anthology is published in connection with the Centre for Business History's symposium in St. Petersburg
November 17–18 and as part of the research preparatory project Sources for Swedish Business History in Russia 1850–1920. The project is supported by the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation and the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation. The book is distributed to a selection of Nordic universities and research institutions.
