The World Expositions of the turn of the century were major events that attracted millions of visitors. The belief in the future and expectations for new breakthroughs were high, and many wanted to see the latest technical solutions, inventions, and developments in aesthetics. In Sweden, national exhibitions were held in various locations, inspired by the continent's more extensive events.
