Fashion and sustainability expert Catarina Midby has written Team Maggan – H&M's Design Director and the Team on Fashion, People, and Opportunities (Bokförlaget Langenskiöld), now available for purchase where books are sold.
The book portrays H&M's creative journey through the people who shaped the company's design culture. The focus is on Margareta van den Bosch, H&M's first design director, and her team. It also highlights both internal and external collaborators who participated during the journey from 1987 to 2025: designers, buyers, country managers, CEOs, communicators, sustainability experts, guest designers, filmmakers, and show producers.
H&M's extensive historical archive has been with us at the Centre for Business History for many years. We have contributed images and other materials to the book.
