The latest book from Förlaget Näringslivshistoria tells the story of how a company from Gotland has managed to establish itself in a global market.
The Gotland-based company ImseVimse was created by Marie Walleberg in 1988 as a solution to her daughter's diaper rash. But what began as a hobby business importing cloth diapers has grown into a well-known brand with its own design and manufacture of a wide range of products for children and women. Today, the company's reusable textile products are sold worldwide. However, the base remains on Gotland. In the book Courage, Sustainability & Care – the story of the company ImseVimse, Marie Walleberg tells about the amazing journey she has made with the company, as well as the difficulties an individual entrepreneur can face. We also meet several people in and around the company who share the story of building ImseVimse.
— It feels so wonderful to be able to showcase our history in this way. I hope ImseVimse's story can inspire other entrepreneurs to dare to invest in what they believe in. Being a business owner is not always easy, but I am so proud to be able to look at what we have built up. The environmentally friendly ambition I had at the start has developed into us now working with sustainability in an ever broader sense, says Marie Walleberg.
