Since 2019, we have been awarding the Business History Award to those who have made lasting contributions to highlighting Swedish business history and shown Swedish companies' contributions to society's development. The award comes with a prize sum of 100,000 SEK*.
Now it's time to select the 2026 laureate! Submit your proposal below! You can nominate both private individuals and researchers as well as companies, universities, and others. Our jury will select the winner from among all nominees.
Previous recipients include the writer Anders Johnson (2019), the Economic Museum and the Dalén Museum in Stenstorp (shared 2021), Professor Håkan Lindgren (2022), IKEA (2023), Professor Mats Larsson (2024), and Näringslivsarkiv i Norrland (NiN) 2025.
Important dates:
- Nomination period: May 18 – August 23
- Jury deliberation: August 24 – September 14
- Winner will be announced by October 9 at the latest.

The Centre for Business History, which has established the award, is one of the world's leading business archives. We help Swedish companies take care of their historical materials in professional archival solutions, both physical and digital. Companies are also offered support in actively using their history as a strategic and business-supporting asset. In addition, the Centre for Business History, through its research secretariat, conducts independent research and initiates projects in interdisciplinary cooperation.
